Treasurer - Essex Porter Reporter, KIRO Television SABJ members:   You may know Paris Jackson and her husband welcomed a new baby this summer. With new family obligations upon her, Paris let us know it was time for her to resign her position as our chapter president. Under the chapter bylaws, the board has appointed an interim president. So we’d like to announce that former vice president for broadcast, Phyllis Fletcher, to serve as interim president and she has accepted.  Kakela Hall also left us with a board vacancy this year, so we welcome back to the board interim secretary Lisa Youngblood Hall.  I remain treasurer, and Percy Allen remains vice president for print. A vice president for broadcast will be elected when we have general elections in January.  The terms of all board positions expire in January, at which point our membership will hold another board election.  We thank Paris and Kakela for their leadership and service, and thank you Phyllis and Lisa for serving during this time of transition.  On behalf of the SABJ board,  Essex Porter SABJ Treasurer
